Bio:
Fred (Trip) F. DuBard III is executive director of South Carolina Future Minds, a non-profit organizing private support for the state's public schools. He previously chaired The School Foundation, the state's largest private foundation for K-12 public education. He also founded and previously chaired the Eastern Carolina Community Foundation, created in 2006 as his Liberty project to serve the seven-county Pee Dee area. Trip previously served as general manager and president of DuBard, Inc, an Anheuser-Busch distributorship based in Florence until its sale in 2006. Prior to that, he worked as chief SC Statehouse Correspondent for The Associated Press. He's also written for The New York Times, The Christian Science Monitor and a variety of South Carolina newspapers. Trip has served on the state Board of Education and is a former president of the Florence Family YMCA and the Florence Rotary Club. After graduating magna cum laude from Duke University with a BA in History, Trip earned his master's in Public Administration from Harvard's Kennedy School of Government. He is a Fellow of the inaugural class of the Liberty Fellowship Program and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
