Matthew Van Patton is the Director of Medicaid and Long Term Care for the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services. Previously, he was CEO of PACT Systems, a healthcare information technology company focused on transition of care, patient placement, and care coordination. Previously, he served as chief of staff to U.S. Representative Trey Gowdy. He has also worked as the president and managing partner at Palmetto Public Affairs, Inc. Prior to this he was the chief policy officer and director of government relations for the Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System. He received a Doctor of Health Administration degree from the Medical University of South Carolina, an MA in communications from Seton Hall University, and a BA in communications from the University of South Carolina Upstate. Matthew is a Fellow of the 12th class of the Liberty Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
