Bio:
Heather Mitchell is president of The Boudreaux Group, a South Carolina based architecture firm. A part of the firm since 1995, she has led numerous award-winning projects that have enriched communities across three states. A talented architect especially skillful in executing challenging projects and fueling design inspiration, Heather possesses extensive knowledge in the areas of master planning, programming, historic preservation and sustainable design. As President, she balances her project time with firm leadership including business development, finance, strategic planning and community service. A graduate of both Leadership Columbia and Leadership South Carolina, she advocates for Columbia's transforming economy by serving as a member of EngenuitySC Brain Trust; likewise, she helps the city promote the value of arts and culture by serving as a Board Member for One Columbia for Arts and History. First earning her Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Virginia, she went on to earn her Master of Architecture from Syracuse University. She spends Sunday mornings teaching youth Sunday School usually after going for a run; she is a longtime avid runner. Heather is a Fellow of the 12th class of the Liberty Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
