Tracey Abbott is a well-rounded, innovative executive with 25 years of diverse, proven leadership experience in global consumer goods, retail, hospitality, and franchising. Five years of private equity experience in direct investing as a senior operating partner. Launched start-up/early-stage companies as well as managed large P&L responsibility ($360 MM). Team leadership of 100+ and passionate about building culture. Classically trained with a strong strategic grounding and an entrepreneurial bent. Adds/Offers functional experience to boards in human capital, strategy, and franchise/multi-site operations. Global mindset and keen cultural awareness following nine years of living and working internationally. Tracey has served as a board member of four portfolio companies. She is currently the Senior Operating Partner (consumer/retail) and the first Portfolio Talent Partner at Mubadala Investment Company. In this inaugural role, she has developed the content, team, and infrastructure around the talent ecosystem and reaffirmed that optimal C-suites and boards are the primary drivers of financial performance. She has proven P&L mastery of start-ups and large-scale businesses. She acquired extensive operational experience as an owner /operator at Chick-fil-A, grand opening one of the first locations in California. She also led the PepsiCo $350 MM P&L at Target. She was formerly Executive Officer and Vice President of Foot Locker and devised the corporate strategy for the Board exceeding market expectations. At Foot Locker, Tracey dual reported to the CEO and Chairman of the Board and was responsible for setting strategy, financial planning, financial reporting, and capital planning at the executive level. Prior to that position, she spent time developing her management consulting toolkit at Kearney and Bain & Company. She held progressively senior strategy, sales and P&L roles in consumer businesses, driving sales and market share gains for iconic leading brands. Her global experience includes living and working in the U.S., China, Russia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.
