Bio:
The Honorable John Hillen is Board chairman, author, and college Professor. A former public and privsate company CEO, he has also served as an Assistant Secretary of State and is a decorated combat veteran. He currently teaches at Duke University, Hampdenb-Sydney College, and in the Business School at George Mason University. He is an independent director of several companies in the defense, energy, and technology sectors. Dr. Hillen served as the Assistant Secretary of State for Political-Military Affairs in the George W. Bush administration. He was unanimously confirmed by the Senate. Prior to his appointment, John was the President or COO of several other technology firms in the defense and financial services sectors. Before his business career, John served for twelve years as a reconnaissance officer and paratrooper in the Army. His is a member of the Amry ROTC Hall of Fame. The author of several books in different genres and scores of journal and newspaper articles, he graduated from Duke University, holds a Master's Degree from King's College London, a doctorate from Oxford, and received his MBA from the Johnson School of Management at Cornell. John is a 1997 Henry Crown Fellow of The Aspen Institute and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network. His latest book is 'The Strategy Dialogues. '
