Aneel Bhusri is a Founder and Co-CEO of Workday and a Partner at Greylock Partners. Over the last 20 years, he has been an entrepreneur, product innovator and investor in the enterprise IT market. Aneel started his technology career in the early 1990s at PeopleSoft, where he served in a variety of senior roles including SVP Product Strategy & Marketing. From 1999 through 2004, Aneel was Vice Chairman of PeopleSoft, serving on the board of directors through the takeover of the company by Oracle in 2004. In 2005, Aneel started Workday with his long-time friend and business partner Dave Duffield, the founder and former Chairman and CEO of PeopleSoft. Since its founding, Workday has grown rapidly and has become the leading provider of cloud-based Human Capital Management (HCM) and Financials applications for medium and large enterprises worldwide.As a Partner at Greylock, Aneel has been an active investor in cloud technologies, with an emphasis on applications, data center infrastructure and middleware. Most recently, Aneel was the lead investor and Chairman of Data Domain, a leading storage provider that was acquired by EMC for $2.4 B in 2009. He also was an investor and board member of Outlooksoft (acquired by SAP), Polyserve (acquired by HP) and Perfigo (acquired by Cisco). In addition to Workday, Aneel currently serves on the boards of Cloudera, Drobo, Okta, Pure Storage, and Tidemark. Aneel received an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Brown University. Aneel was named to the Forbes Midas List in 2011 (#15), 2009 (#8) and 2008 (#16). He is a 1997 Henry Crown Fellow of The Aspen Institute and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
