Bio:
Kavita N. Ramdas is a globally recognized feminist advocate for gender equity and justice. In here recent role as a Richard von Weisäcker Fellow at the Robert Bosch Academy in Berlin, Germany, she researched the potential for feminism to influence both foreign and domestic policy. Her philanthropic career includes leadership roles at the Open Society Foundations, the Ford Foundation, the MacArthur Foundation, the Nathan Cummings Foundation, and the Global Fund for Women. She has served as visiting professor at both Princeton University’s School of Public and International Affairs and the Friedman Spogli School of International Studies at Stanford University. Kavita is a speaker and thought commentator on the challenges facing philanthropy and civil society as it strives for equitable and sustainable development, and gender and racial equity. She provides high-level consulting advice and guidance on initiatives to defend democracy and protect human rights both within the U.S. and across the globe.
