Michelle is the owner of Cambium LLC. Before Cambium LLC, she co-founded Svoboda, Collins LLC in 1998, a private equity firm focused on middle market buyouts, and served as a General Partner until 2006. Michelle currently serves as an Advisory Board member to its successor firm, Svoboda Capital Partners, LLC. Prior to this, Michelle served as an associate, then principal in the corporate finance division of the investment banking firm of William Blair & Company, L.L.C. Michelle is currently a Board Member of ULTA Beauty, Inc., the largest independent retailer of beauty products,in the US, CIBC (Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce) and its subsidiary CIBC Bank USA and Ryan Specialty Group, Inc. She was previously a board member of Health Care Service Corporation, CDW Corporation, Molex, Inc., Bucyrus, Inc. and Integrys, Inc., Coldwater Creek, Inc., McWhorter Technologies, Inc. and several private mid-sized companies. She is the chair of National Louis University, and on the executive committee of Griffin Museum of Science and Industry, among other non-profits. She is also a member of the Commercial Club of Chicago, Economic Club of Chicago and The Chicago Network as well as several non-profit organizations in Chicago. Michelle graduated from University of Chicago Lab Schools, received a B.A. in Economics from Yale University and an MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business. She is a resident of Chicago, IL. Michelle is a member of the 1999 class and the Aspen Global Leadership Network of Henry Crown Fellows at the Aspen Institute.
