Title and Organization:
Laurie is the chief of staff to the President of the Catholic Health Association. Previously she served as Director of Communications at Kaiser Permanente after spending 5 years as the Chief of Staff to the Regional President. Laurie also served as vice president for child advocacy at Boston Children's Hospital, the primary pediatric teaching hospital of the Harvard Medical School. Laurie began her career as a legislative assistant to U.S. Representative Dan Rostenkowski (D-IL), then chairman of the Committee on Ways and Means. She has taught at Tufts University and at Simmons College Graduate School in Health Studies. A graduate of Tufts University and Boston College Law School, Laurie was selected as an Eisenwhower Fellow in 2000 and lived in and studied the pediatric health care delivery systems of Central Europe. A resident of Washington, D.C., Laurie is a member of the 1999 class of Henry Crown Fellows and the Aspen Global Leadership Network at the Aspen Institute.
