Paul Hurley is the founder of ideeli.com, a leading next-generation Ecommerce retailer for mainstream women. He served as its CEO from inception until October 2012, and was a member of the ideeli's board of directors until its sale to Groupon (GRPN) in January 2014. ideeli delivers carefully curated, limited-time sales of women's apparel, accessories, home fashion and beauty products. In 2011 Inc. Magazine ranked ideeli #1 in its list of the 5000 fastest growing private companies in America. Hurley has been a long-time serial entrepreneur. In 1989 he founded Cypress Research, a global leader in OEM communications software. The company's MegaPhone software was adopted by Apple, Compaq and Dell, and shipped over 10 million copies in 23 countries. It also created Cypress Shopper, which combined Ecommerce with embedded upgrade technology years ahead of the Internet. In 1994, he founded Aveo, which invented many aspects of the now-pervasive concept of preemptive technical support. Millions of copies of its flagship product, Attune, were shipped by over 30 leading PC and peripheral manufacturers, including Hewlett Packard, Gateway, Dell, Kensington and Logitech. Paul's third company, Alset, Inc., was founded in 2001 and helped leading brands such as Best Buy and Micro Warehouse use the Internet to simultaneously improve service and marketing of new products to customers. For ten years he served on the board of Volunteermatch, and is currently a board member of The Global Poverty Project and Shaklee Global Group, Inc. He graduated from Yale University and is a member of the 1999 class of Henry Crown Fellows at The Aspen Institute and the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
