Title and Organization:
Srinija Srinivasan is Co-founder of Loove, a developing venture in Brooklyn, NY creating a sustainable model for the production, presentation, and distribution of music. She serves as a Vice Chair of Stanford University's Board of Trustees, and she recently concluded work as a member of the US Partnership on Mobility from Poverty, as well as service on the Commission on Presidential Scholars, appointed in 2010 by President Obama. In 1995 Srinija joined Yahoo! Inc. as one of their first five employees, where she served as Vice President, Editor in Chief until stepping down in 2010. During her 15-year tenure with the company, Srinija led a range of editorial and policy functions globally, including the organization and evolution of the Yahoo! Directory, network editorial standards, privacy and data use, advertising standards, youth safety, community guidelines, accessibility, and corporate responsibility. She previously chaired the board of San Francisco-based nonprofit SFJAZZ through the planning, campaign, and 2013 opening of the SFJAZZ Center. She lives bicoastally in Palo Alto, CA and Brooklyn, NY. Srinija is a 2000 Henry Crown Fellow of the Aspen Institute and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
