Title and Organization:
Beth Vanderslice has served on the Board of Xilinx, Inc. (NASDAQ: XLNX) since 2000, the Board of Trustees of Boston College since 2010, and The Woods College of Advancing Studies since 2016. She is a founding member of the Council for Women of Boston College and a member of the Executive Committee. From 1999 to 2001, Beth was a general manager of Lycos, Inc. through its acquisition. From 1996 to 1999, Beth was CEO of Wired Digital, Inc., the online-media spin-off of Wired Ventures, Inc., and a member of the boards of both Wired Digital, Inc. and Wired Ventures, Inc. before leading the company’s acquisition by Lycos, Inc. Prior to joining Wired Digital in early 1995, Beth served as a principal in the investment banking firm Sterling Payot Company, where she helped raise the capital to launch Wired Magazine, and as Vice President at H. W. Jesse & Co., a San Francisco investment banking firm. Beth was a member of the Board of Trustees of the French-American International School from 2003-2006 in San Francisco and the Board of Trustees of the Bay Area Discovery Museum from 1999-2004, where she served on the Executive Committee. She also worked with the IBM Corporation before earning her MBA from the Harvard Business School. Beth was a member and officer of the Young Presidents’ Organization and the World Presidents’ Organization. She is an Aspen Institute Henry Crown Fellow and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership. Beth, her husband Peter and their three children now live in New York City.
