Boswell has more than 30 years of extensive consumer products and retail leadership experience at global companies such as Bath & Body Works, Unilever, Alberto Culver Company and The Estee Lauder Companies.
Boswell has deep expertise in sales (across DTC, wholesale, retail, digital), marketing, brand-building, business development and strategy, along with strong operational experience and a demonstrated track record of delivering successful business outcomes. Known as a values-based leader, Boswell has led large cross-functional teams both domestically and internationally with a strong focus on team building.
Her most recent role was CEO of Bath & Body Works where she successfully stabilized the business post-Covid, restored and delivered consecutive quarters of profitable sales growth for this $7+ billion dollar public company, overseeing 55,000 employees, 1900 stores and 40+countries. Prior to that she was President, Customer Development for Unilever U.S.A., where she led multi-billion-dollar revenue delivery across all channels, customers and categories for Unilever’s largest market. Boswell joined Unilever through the acquisition and successful integration of Alberto Culver Company, where she served as President of Global Brands. Earlier in her career, Boswell held leadership and business development roles at Avon Products, Inc., Ford Motor Company and The Estee Lauder Companies.
Boswell currently serves on the board of The Clorox Company and is a trustee of Yale University. She has decades of public and private company board experience and has served as a board member of the Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA) and the YMCA of the USA. She has multiple awards and recognition, including Forbes 50 over 50” List, “Most Inspirational Women Leader”, “Top 50 Women in Power”, a “Woman to Watch” by Advertising Age, “50 Most Influential People in Beauty” by WWD, “Directors to Watch”, “Marketer of the Year”, “Top 50 Brand Innovator” and CEW “Achiever of the Year”. Boswell also received the Yale Medal, which is the highest alumni award honoring outstanding individual service to the University. She is a summa cum laude graduate of Boston University and received her MBA from Yale University.
