Mark Hoplamazian was appointed to the board of directors in November 2006 and named president and CEO of Hyatt Hotels Corporation in December 2006. Prior to being appointed to his present position, Mark served as president of The Pritzker Organization, LLC (TPO), the principal financial and investment advisor for Pritzker family business interests. During his 17-year tenure with TPO, he served as advisor to various Pritzker family-owned companies, including Hyatt Hotels Corporation and its predecessors. Mark is a director of VF Corporation (NYSE: VFC). Mark has served on the boards of directors of a number of privately held companies and participated on behalf of Pritzker family business interests in the formation of a number of companies. He previously worked in international mergers and acquisitions at The First Boston Corporation in New York. Mark serves on the council of the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and the executive committee of the board of directors of World Business Chicago. He is a member of the World Travel and Tourism Council and the Commercial Club of Chicago. Mark is Chairman of the Board of Skills for Chicagoland's Future, a non-profit organization dedicated to working with employers to employ un- and under-employed individuals primarily from disadvantaged backgrounds. Mark graduated from Harvard College in 1985 and earned an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 1989. He is 2003 Henry Crown Fellow of the Aspen Institute and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
