Title and Organization:
Aileen is the founder and managing partner of Cowboy Ventures, a seed-stage focused fund that backs technology entrepreneurs re-imagining life and work, what they call "life 2.0". Prior to founding Cowboy, she joined Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers in 1999 and worked with a diversity of consumer and enterprise-oriented companies including Bloom Energy, One Kings Lane, Rent the Runway, Tellme and Trendyol. During this time she was also founding CEO of digital media company RMG Networks. Before joining KPCB, Aileen worked at Gap Inc. in various operating roles; she began her career at Morgan Stanley in technology mergers & acquisitions. Aileen holds a bachelors degree from the Sloan School of Management at MIT, serving as president of her class for three years, and earned an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1997. Aileen is the happy mom of three and wife to a startup founder. She is a member of the 2004 class of Henry Crown Fellows and the Aspen Global Leadership Network at the Aspen Institute.
