Bio:
Bryan is a partner at Venrock, having joined the firm in 1997 as a Kauffman Fellow. He invests in early stage healthcare companies and currently serves on the Board of several private and public companies, including 10X Genomics, CloudFlare and Devoted Health, where he is also a co-founder. Bryan’s career portfolio includes thirteen companies exceeding a market cap of $1 billion, including Illumina, Receptos and Athenahealth, and he has been one of the highest-ranking healthcare investors on Forbes’ Midas List since 2008. In 2019 the National Venture Capital Association presented him with the Excellence in Healthcare Innovation Award, in recognition of his dedication to healthcare innovation. Bryan received his PhD in Chemistry and Chemical Biology at Harvard University (Advisor: E.J. Corey) and graduated from Dartmouth College, where he obtained a BA in Chemistry. Bryan lives in Portola Valley, CA with his wife and two children. He is a 2006 Henry Crown Fellow of The Aspen Institute and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
