Bio:
Scott is Chief Financial Officer of Edwards Lifesciences (EW), the global leader of medical technology for patients suffering from structural heart disease, to help them live longer, healthier and more productive lives. Scott and his wife Beth are also passionate sponsors of not-for-profit healthcare initiatives aimed at improving hospital quality and safety.
Prior to joining Edwards, Scott was CFO and leader of one of three business units at Bemis Company, a Fortune 500 material science and manufacturing company. Previously, Scott was a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs, and later at Bank of America, working with public and private companies in multiple industries on mergers and acquisitions as well as equity and debt financings.
Scott serves on the Board of Directors of Berry Global (BERY). He also manages a farm in Iowa with free range Black Angus cattle and no-till row crops that has been under the same family ownership for 175 years (www.ullemfarm.com). Scott received a BA in Political Science from DePauw University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He is a 2007 Henry Crown Fellow of The Aspen Institute and resides in Southern California, where he and his family raise chickens and bees, surf, hike and visit skateboard parks.
