Bio:
Carla Vernón is the Chief Executive Officer of The Honest Company (NASDAQ: HNST). She also serves as one of Honest's Board Directors. In her role as the CEO, Vernón became one of the first Afro-Latine CEOs of a U.S. publicly traded company. Vernón brings a new era of leadership to Honest that reflects the diversity of Honest’s consumers. In her role, Vernón will be laser focused on driving category growth, business innovation, and profitability to deliver the company’s core mission of creating personal care products that raise the standards for clean ingredients. Prior to joining Honest, Vernón held Vice President roles at Amazon and General Mills. Vernón holds a B.A. degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Princeton and a an MBA from The University of Texas McCombs School. Vernón serves on the Board of Trustees for Princeton University and the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of the American Latino.
