Bio:
Lily Kanter, co-founder of Serena & Lily, and currently co-founder/CEO of Averylily and Good Mvmt. Lily has over 36 years of experience in the business and technology fields. She has held leadership positions for Microsoft, Deloitte & Touche and created the first Microsoft flagship earning her the Chairman’s Award from Bill Gates in July 1999. Lily left Microsoft in late 2000 to start a family and focus on philanthropic causes, efforts that earned her the cover spot of Time Magazine as a “New Philanthropist” is July 2000. Inspired by her first foray into motherhood in June of 2001, Lily opened a baby-oriented home furnishings business which eventually led to her partnership with Serena and the creation of Serena & Lily. Lily’s current business focus is unlocking capitalism as a force for good, and using business to power social good. Lily graduated Arizona State University with a BS in Accounting and attended the Executive MBA program at Pepperdine University. Lily is a Wexner Heritage Fellow as well as a Henry Crown Fellow from the Aspen Institute. She is guest lecturer at Stanford University on the case study she authored on Serena & Lily. She and her husband, Marc Sarosi, live in Mill Valley, CA with their three college aged boys.
