Love Goel is Chairman and CEO of GVG Capital, a leading global investment firm; and former Chairman/Cofounder of Macy's and ABInbev's digital business. Called the Father of Digital Transformation and Digital Whiz by CNBC and The Wall Street Journal; he is best known for leading the world's four most successful digital transformations and being the only person to build profitable digital businesses, at scale, in legacy companies. Over three decades, he has served as a Silicon Valley CEO, investor, board member and digital coach to hundreds of CEOs and board members at icons like Apple, Walmart, P&G, JPMorgan, AT&T, American Express, Disney, Nike, Marriott, United Health, UPS, Google, Amazon, CVS, Home Depot, Zara, Tesco, LVMH, VW, Tata, Reliance, and Carlyle.
Goel sold his first software company at age 12; began working for Apple as a teenager; and built the world's first billion-dollar digital business in a legacy company in his 20's. Then, he helped build dozens of billion-dollar digital businesses across four continents in diverse sectors—creating over $100 billion in shareholder value.
Only 4 companies have achieved the holy grail—simultaneously owning both the largest and most profitable physical and digital business in trillion-dollar markets. Surprisingly it is 4 legacy companies, not digital giants. Goel led the digital spinoffs of all 4 companies to outperform digital giants like Amazon in customer experience, revenue growth, profit margin, and shareholder return, during his tenure
Goel founded the DIGITAL LAB to engage with CEOs and boards; and also led the world's largest study on digital success—discovering the 8 principles common to every digital success. From 2007-17, he served as Chairman of the Advisory Board of The Fashion School at Kent, one of the world's leading fashion schools. Featured by media outlets from CNBC to CNN and adjunct faculty at top business schools from Stanford to Wharton, he is a highly sought keynote speaker, Aspen Institute Henry Crown Fellow, active philanthropist, and marathon runner.
