Elizabeth Faraut is the CEO of LA LOOP, an accessory business that has a cult-brand following in the US, Europe, and Asia. Elizabeth created a new category for optical retailers, and the products are now sold in over 400 stores across 28 countries and to direct to consumers worldwide. LOOPin, the company's social arm has been able to connect and support stakeholders with the non-profits that matter to them. Over the last 5 years, over 20 NGOs have received LOOPin Grants.
As an experienced fashion and luxury brand executive, Elizabeth brings passion, intensity and entrepreneurship to her products, her brands and everything she does. Elizabeth's passion for social justice and desire to strengthen women's voices has propelled her to take on leadership roles in a number of non-profit organizations in Los Angeles. In January 2021, she became Chair of The Board of Directors of Downtown Women’s Center, an 40+ year organization which serves and empowers thousands of women who are experiencing homelessness across Los Angeles. With a Housing First approach, DWC's mission is a Los Angeles where every woman is housed through trauma informed care, job placement, wellness and advocacy. In addition Elizabeth serves on The Board of Advisors at the Rape Treatment Center (RTC) at Santa Monica-UCLA Hospital. RTC is a model program that provides free comprehensive treatment for child and adult victims of sexual assault. In her over 20-year association with RTC, Elizabeth has brought her entrepreneur's focus to the organization, and has been able to affect legislation to strengthen victim rights nationwide. Elizabeth is a 2015 Henry Crown Fellow of the Aspen Institute and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
