Clement Pappas is an owner and President at Stateside Vodka in Philadelphia, PA. The brand launched in 2015 and by 2018 was recognized by the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board as the top selling in-state PA distilled spirit. Stateside has quickly grown distribution in several additional east coast states from Massachusetts to Florida, with plans for continued rapid expansion.
Clement was formerly CEO of Clement Pappas & Co., a leading supplier of private brand juices, which was founded in 1942 by his grandfather, a hardworking U.S. immigrant. Growing up, the business played a central part in Clement's life, and he later worked in an executive capacity for the company for 15 years. Clement led the sale of the business to Lassonde Industries in 2011 and served as CEO until his exit in 2014. Prior to Clement Pappas & Co., he worked at Arthur Andersen Business Consulting in New York.
After tragically losing their premature son in 2015, Clement and his wife Lauren founded the Peter Joseph Pappas Fund to end preterm births due to preeclampsia by 2050.
Clement is a Henry Crown Fellow at the Aspen Institute and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network. Clement was chosen by Goldman Sachs as one of the 100 most intriguing entrepreneurs of 2017. He is a member of YPO, serves on the Boards of The Preeclampsia Foundation and Fringe Arts and is a past board member of the Grocery Manufacturers Association.
Clement earned a B.S.E from Duke University and earned his MBA from The Wharton School, where he was designated a Palmer Scholar.
