Andrew Silvernail is the chairman and CEO for IDEX Corporation, a leading $2 billion industrial technology company. He was appointed CEO in August 2011 and Chairman in January 2012. Prior, he held the position of vice president, group executive, responsible for multiple operating segments within IDEX. Before that, Andy was a group president for Rexnord Industries and held senior leadership roles at Newell Rubbermaid and Danaher Corporation. He began his career as an equity research associate for Fidelity Investments. Andy was named by Forbes Magazine and msn.com as "One of the 10 Most Powerful CEOs 40 and under". He is a National Trustee for the Boys & Girls Club of America and the founder of two scholarships given annually to high school students in rural Maine. Andy received a B.A. in Government from Dartmouth College and his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. Originally from Bucksport, Maine, he now lives in Lake Forest, IL with his wife, Shelby, and three children, Koster, Spencer, and Alyssa. He is a 2012 Henry Crown Fellow of the Aspen Institute and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
