Claire Ngo, Managing Director, Private Equity Fund Investments and Temasek Americas is responsible for the deployment of the firm’s private equity fund investments in the U.S. as well as their syndicated co-investment opportunities in the Americas, Europe and Asia. Prior to joining Temasek in 2016, Claire founded and served as CEO of an advisory firm focusing on helping multinational companies expand their footprint in South East Asia, from strategic advisory, talent sourcing, and business development. Claire has set up successful corporate partnerships while leveraging relationships built over a decade in Asia. Claire also spent 13 years with Goldman Sachs, where she served in a number of leadership positions across its U.S. and Asian offices. Claire began her career in the Investment Banking Division at Merrill Lynch, New York, covering the Media and Telecom sector and joined Equity Capital Markets.
Claire has over 30 years of experience in Finance and has worked across all global regions, including developed and emerging economies in the Americas and Asia regions. She has lead and managed teams across multiple offices in the U.S., Latin America, and Asia and built a strong network of relationships from the public and private sector, endowments, asset managers, private equity firms and non-profit.
Claire has served on the Executive Committee for United Nations Women (Singapore), Harvard Business School Alumni Board, Singapore Executive Committee for BoardAgender, Board member for the California Academy of Sciences, Goldman Sachs Singapore Board of Directors, and several other organizations.
She currently serves on the University of Virginia College Foundation Board and is a member of the Private Equity Women Investor Network. Claire is a 2012 Henry Crown Fellow of the Aspen Institute and member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
Claire holds a M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Virginia.
