Title and Organization:
Claire Ngo currently serves as managing director, Americas for Temasek International. Formerly, she established CMN Consultancy in 2008, an advisory and coaching business aimed at developing and retaining talent in Asia. Clients included multinational institutions, universities, and corporate executives with specific focus on women in leadership and the finance sector. CMN Consultancy also provided pro bono advising and consulting support to non-profit organizations. Prior to that, Claire was at Goldman Sachs from 1995 until January 2008, where she helped build their Asian Equities business in Singapore and the U.S. Claire was appointed managing director in 2002 Claire served on the GS Singapore Board of directors for several years as well as a delegate in the ASEAN 100 Leadership Forum. She co-chaired the GS Women's ASCEND conference in Asia and continues to be a huge advocate for promoting qualified women into key leadership positions. She is a frequent speaker on the topic of women in leadership at several multinationals including MasterCard, Standard Chartered, and British Petroleum. Claire was a member of the Chairman's Council for Conservation International and helped establish their presence in Singapore. She is also a board member of the Singapore Repertory Theatre, responsible for funding and executing of their Education initiatives. She also serves on the Executive Committee for United Nations Women Singapore and the Harvard Business School Alumni Board. Claire is also a member of the Singapore Committee of BoardAgender, a non profit focused on the advancement of women to Board seats and senior leadership roles in companies across Asia. She holds a M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Virginia. She is a classical pianist and has performed in several off Broadway plays. She is a 2012 Henry Crown Fellow of the Aspen Institute and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
