Title and Organization:
Christina Hennington is Target’s Senior Vice President of Merchandising for Essentials, Beauty and Wellness categories, which includes strategy, implementation and ownership of a $14B+ P&L across Target’s stores and digital platforms. Prior to this role, Hennington led the 400 person operations teams within merchandising across the US and India as well as the development and implementation of holistic merchandising transformation effort. This transformation aimed at unlocking growth and modernization of capabilities, impacted 2000+ team members’ roles, organizational structure, processes, technologies, and capability development in localization, negotiations, visual merchandising, and advanced analytical insights.
Hennington joined Target in 2003. Since that time, she held various merchandising and supply chain positions including Senior Vice President of the Health and Beauty business at Target, including the end‐to‐end ownership of pharmacy and healthcare clincs.
Before joining Target, Hennington spent several years as a consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Boston, and served as a product manager for two Boston dotcom start‐up businesses.
Hennington serves on the Board of Directors for Second Harvest Heartland, the 2nd largest food bank in the US, the Board of Governors for Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW), and previously the Board of Dermstore.com. She completed a two year fellowship, Henry Crown Fellowship, for top 20 US intra and entrepreneurs through the Aspen Institute in 2015. She has been named Most Powerful Women in retail several times by WWD, MMR, and Fortune magazine.
Hennington received her bachelors from Cornell University and her MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
