Bio:
Kristen Grimm, founder of Spitfire Strategies, works to advance racial, economic and social justice, protect the environment and expand opportunity for all. She works for the Ford Foundation, Patagonia, Florida Rights Restoration Coalition, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and Linden Trust. Kristen has authored numerous publications including Smart Chart 4.0, Replenishing Trust, Mindful Messaging , Planning to Win and a chapter for Patagonia’s Tools for Grassroots Activists. She founded AndACTION.org a pop culture hub that gave nonprofits inside intel about their issues in upcoming and recent film or TV storylines and suggested creative ways to use them for maximum impact. She started Best-Case Scenario to make sure healthy civic spaces free of violence are the norm in the U.S. She serves on the boards of Grist, Edesia, Winward Fund, and the Narrative Initiative. Kristen has a B.A. from Smith College. She is a 2014 Henry Crown Fellow of the Aspen Institute, a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network and a moderator. She has taught influence at the University of New Hampshire Carsey School of Public Policy and social justice advocacy at George Washington University.
