Title and Organization:
Jantoon Reigersman is the CFO of Leaf Group (NYSE: LEAF), a publicly listed diversified internet holding company. He was previously the CFO of Ogin Inc. (acquired by Vestas), a disruptive venture backed wind technology company. Prior to joining Ogin in 2010, Jantoon initiated and led an expedition called 9000METER, the first expedition to attempt 9000 vertical meters on human power by (rebreather) diving over 152 meters below sea level and by climbing the summit of Mount Everest at 8848 meters, all focused on raising awareness on biodiversity across all 9000 vertical meters. Prior to his expedition, Jantoon worked at Goldman Sachs as an investor and member of the European special situations group, a multi-strategy, on-balance-sheet investment group focused on pure alpha returns. He started his career at Morgan Stanley in their mergers and acquisitions team in London. Jantoon lives in Los Angeles with his wife and three children. He is the co-author of Straight Talk for Startups (HarperCollins), a book on how best-in-class governance and finance can increase the probability of success in any early stage venture. Jantoon earned his Master of Science degree in finance as well as his Master in International Management by CEMS at Rotterdam School of Management and HEC Paris. Jantoon is also an alumnus of Harvard Business School and graduate of GMP15. Jantoon is a Fellow of the inaugural class of the Finance Leaders Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
