Title and Organization:
Brian is a Director at Bridgewater Associates, a globally recognized investment manager overseeing $160 billion for clients including foreign governments, central banks, corporate and public pension funds, endowments and charitable foundations. Previously, Brian served as both Head of Research and Head of Client Service & Marketing, where he was responsible for overseeing the people, processes, and technologies that drive Bridgewater’s investment process and relationships with institutional investors across the world. Brian is the Lead Director of Elemental Cognition, an Artificial Intelligence firm he helped launch as a partnership between Bridgewater and Dr. David Ferrucci (inventor and principal investigator of IBM Watson). Additionally, he is the Co-Lead of Bridgewater’s ESG working group.
Prior to joining Bridgewater, Brian was a management consultant with McKinsey & Company, where he helped launch the Firm’s Social Sector Office. While an undergraduate, Brian co-founded LIFT, a national organization that empowers families to break the cycle of poverty. Brian has since been involved with a broad array of endeavors across the social and private sectors connected to his interest in creating opportunities for those in need, new enterprises, and particularly the intersection of the two.
Brian currently acts as an Advisor to Renovo Financial and serves on the Boards of several non-profits, including the Finance Fellowship of the Aspen Institute, the Connecticut Council for Education Reform, and the Open Door Shelter in Norwalk, Connecticut.
He holds a BA from Yale University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
