Kevin Parker was first elected to the Washington State House of Representatives in 2008 and is a member of the Higher Education, Education and Ways & Means Committees. A survivor of the 1999 shooting at Columbine High School, he has traveled throughout the U.S. and internationally to share the lessons of leadership he learned in that tragedy. Parker is an entrepreneur who owns a chain of coffee shops and teaches as an adjunct business professor at Whitworth University and as a leadership instructor for service members at Fairchild Air Force Base, where he was named Honorary Base Commander in 2011. Parker earned his B.A. in political science at Whitworth University, his M.B.A. at George Fox University, and studied leadership at Harvard University.
