Bio:
Dave is a technology entrepreneur, currently serving as the Founder & CEO of IMARA–a technology company dedicated to empowering clients to operate efficiently, securely, and seamlessly in the digital age. He is also the co-founder of LittleFish, a fintech company on a mission to create opportunities for small businesses to thrive in the rapidly growing platform economy.
Dave holds an Independent Non-Executive Director position at Stanbic Bank Tanzania, a subsidiary of the Standard Bank Group. Throughout his career, he has been part of several pioneering ventures. He is a founding member of Creditinfo, the first credit reference bureau in Tanzania. Before embarking on his entrepreneurial journey, Dave gained valuable experience working for KPMG and the Absa Group.
An active member of the business community, Dave is a founding member of the Institute of Directors in Tanzania (IoDT) and is a member of the Institute of Directors (UK) as well as the Institute of Directors in South Africa (IoDSA). His educational background includes a BCom (Hons) degree from the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania. He also holds certifications such as the International Certificate in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors (UK) and an Executive Education Certificate-Leading in a Digital Economy from the Gordon Institute of Business Science, University of Pretoria, South Africa.
Dave is a fellow of the Africa Leadership Initiative (East Africa) and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network (AGLN). He is married to Joan. They have three children and resides in Johannesburg, South Africa.
