Jeff Jablow is the senior vice president of strategy & operations at City Year, Inc. City Year partners with over 300 urban public schools in 27 cities to deploy diverse teams of AmeriCorps members to help students succeed in and outside of the classroom. A member of City Year’s senior leadership team, Jeff oversees City Year’s strategic planning, School District Center of Expertise, School Design Division and Diplomas Now school improvement collaboration.
Jeff joined City Year in 2005 to lead the organization’s strategic planning efforts, which ultimately led to focusing the organization on strategically deploying its AmeriCorps members to low performing schools to address the nation’s dropout crisis. Jeff has lead the growth and development of City Year’s school district partnership approach and was a leader of Diplomas Now since its founding in 2007, including directing the effort to win an Investing in Innovation grant from the US Department of Education. Prior to joining City Year, Jeff worked as a strategy consultant with Cambridge Strategic Management Group, Ernst & Young Consulting, and The Bridgespan Group. Jeff also worked at Afrika Tikkun, a community development nonprofit in South Africa.
Jeff has an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and was selected as the 2015 Alumni Leader of Consequence. He has a Bachelors in Business Administration and Masters in Accounting from the University of Michigan. Jeff serves on the board of City on a Hill Charter Public Schools in Massachusetts. He is a Fellow of the 15th class of the Pahara - Aspen Education Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
