Mmhonlumo (Mhon) Kikon is a Cabinet Minister for Geology and Mining and Border Affairs, Government of Nagaland, India. Mhon is a BJP Legislator from the Wokha district of Nagaland. Mhon is also the chief whip of the BJP Legislature Party in the Nagaland Legislative Assembly. Prior to joining politics, he was a social entrepreneur and was running a livelihood and development program in Nagaland with support from Sir Ratan Tata Trust. Mhon has also been involved in peace and conflict resolution initiatives within the Northeastern region and is a member of the sustainable development forums in the northeast region. Mhon had also worked at Katha Publications in Delhi which focuses on publishing translation of books written in Various Indian Languages. Mhon has travelled extensively to European and Asian Countries attending seminars and workshops on international relations, Climate change and sustainable Development. Mhon was appointed the State Election Officer of the BJP for Nagaland state in 2015. Mhon did his graduation and Masters from the University of Delhi. He is a Fellow of the sixth class of the Kamalnayan Bajaj Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
