Bio:
Mihir S Sharma is a Bloomberg View columnist whose writing focuses on economic policy in India. Mihir has a decade of journalistic experience, after being trained as an economist and political scientist in New Delhi and Boston. Before writing for Bloomberg, he was an editor at The Indian Express and Business Standard, where he was given a Sriram Sanlam award in recognition for his work in financial journalism. Mihir also has considerable experience as a policy economist. In 2015, he published his first book, Restart: The Last Chance for the Indian Economy, to considerable critical acclaim. It was awarded the Tata LitLive Best Business Book of the Year and was long listed for the Financial Times–McKinsey Business Book of the Year. He is a Fellow of the sixth class of the Kamalnayan Bajaj Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
