Tina Wells is a renowned thought leader in the retail and marketing industry. She is the founder and CEO of Wellspring Studio, a consultancy dedicated to supporting underrepresented founders, from concept to product launch. Before Wellspring, Wells honed her skills for five years, developing and introducing products and brands exclusively at Target stores. Her innovative approach led to the launch of Elevation by Tina Wells, a home office and lifestyle brand, in over 1500 stores, and WNDR LN, a luggage and travel accessories brand, in over 1800 stores. Over the past five years, Wells has also authored four book franchises, including The Zee Files, Honest June, The Stitch Clique, and the Elevation Approach book and workbook, with some exclusivity at Target.
Before venturing into the retail sector, Tina Wells was a trailblazer in the marketing industry, leading her millennial-focused agency, Buzz Marketing Group, for over two decades. Established in 1996, Buzz Marketing Group served a diverse clientele of over 350 companies, including industry giants like Apple, Procter & Gamble, American Eagle Outfitters, and the Oprah Winfrey Network. Wells' influence extended beyond her agency, as she pioneered influencer marketing and launched the highly sought-after newsletter Tina’s Top 10 in 2000, long before blogging became a trend.
Wells’ leadership roles and board appointments have included the United Nations Foundation’s Global Entrepreneurs Council, Girl Up, the Young Entrepreneurs Council, The Franklin Institute, the Philadelphia Orchestra, and Thinx.
In 2021, Wells was inducted into the American Advertising Foundation’s Hall of Achievement. She is a 2017 Henry Crown Fellowship class member within the Aspen Global Leadership Network. Her other honors include Fast Company’s 100 Most Creative People in Business, Inc.’s inaugural 30 Under 30 list, ESSENCE’s 40 Under 40, and the 2024 Inc Female Founders 250.
Wells holds a BA in Journalism from Hood College and is a Wharton Program for Working Professionals graduate from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where she also served as the Academic Director for Wharton’s Leadership in the Business World program. She resides in Haddonfield, New Jersey.
