Bashir Yusuf Ibrahim is the President/CEO of the Dirham Group, Abuja where his duties include planning corporate growth and strategy; implementation of corporate policy and human resourse allocation and development. His previous political appointments include Special Assistant to the Nigerian Vice President (2003-2006); Special Assistant to the Nigerian President on Conflict resolution (2001-2003); Managing Consultant, New Paradigm Limited (1994-2001); Director-General, Government House, Jigawa (1992-1994); and Editor,The Nation on Sunday (1991-1992). He was lecturer of Government at College of Arts and Science, Kano and taught Foreign Policy and Policy Analysis and Evaluation at Bayero University, Kano as a member of the National Youth Service Corps. He received a Master of Arts in Diplomacy and International Affairs from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and also a B.A. in History/Political Science from Bayero University, Kano. He also has a Professional Certificate for TV News Production from the New York Institute of Technology, New York. He has also participated in the Leaders in Development Programme at the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University(2005), Making Markets Work Programme, Harvard Business Schoo(2004)and; the Economic Reporting Programme at the United States Information Service (1991). He holds Board membership of Dirham Group, Tradeways Nigeria Ltd, New Paradigm Ltd, Nexus Online, Capital Equipment Ltd, Delta Oil and Chemicals Ltd and Capital Limousines Ltd. Has currently serves as member of the Editorial Board of Thisday Newspaper a leading publication in Nigeria's vibrant media landscape. Bashir is a Fellow of the Nigeria Leadership Initiative and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network at the Aspen Institute.
