Bio:
Raised on James Island South Carolina, Darrin returned home to re-image the role of the Coastal Community Foundation as a catalyst for structural, systemic change. He is leading the Foundation to think more strategically about philanthropic investments, considering social, moral, intellectual, reputational, and financial capital as viable means to create impact. After graduating from and working with students at Wofford College, Darrin found his passion in community impact at the macro level. While Vice President at the United Way of Greenville County, he provided strategic direction and guidance forming its impact agenda and in administration of over $2.5 million for community initiatives, services and programs. As CEO of the Capital Area United Way (Baton Rouge Louisiana), Darrin had to build the reputation of the organization, positioning it as a recognized leader and premier model for social change through its funding and community impact initiatives. Darrin earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Wofford College and Masters of Christian Ministries from North Greenville University. He is a Fellow of the 2018 Class of Liberty Fellowship and is a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
