Bio:
A native of Charleston South Carolina, Cheryl returned to the state following a distinguished corporate legal experience to use her connections and legal talents to foster inclusion. After graduating from Yale Law School and serving as a judicial law clerk for the first African-American U.S. District Judge in Virginia, Cheryl practiced securities law with international law firms for six years before gaining an internal perspective working for the Securities and Exchange Commission. She moved directly into the corporate world as Assistant Corporate Secretary and Corporate Counsel for Campbell's Soup Company. Cheryl has worked with a number of organizations, including the United Way, Diversity Leaders Institute, and Greenville Tech Foundation Board. Cheryl holds a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies and English, magna cum laude from the College of William and Mary and earned her Juris Doctor from Yale Law School. She is a Fellow of the 2018 Class of Liberty Fellowship and is a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
