Columbia City Manager Teresa Wilson has implemented and overseen numerous initiatives focused on making the city more efficient and more effective for citizens and business owners. Teresa has built partnerships with other Midlands area governments, businesses, and educational institutions to streamline government and increase the opportunities for the people of Columbia South Carolina. Her leadership has been integral to the rebirth of downtown and other groundbreaking initiatives including transforming Columbia's Community Development department into a nationally recognized model organization. Prior to her current role, Teresa served as the Government and Community Relations Coordinator for the University of South Carolina's Office of the President. With a Bachelor of Arts in English from the South Carolina Honors College at the University of South Carolina, Teresa earned her Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law. She is a Fellow of the 2018 Class of Liberty Fellowship and is a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
