Timothy Chen is the Greater China chief executive officer of VIA Technologies, Inc., a leading innovator of PC silicon and IoT platform technologies, and is also responsible for the company’s worldwide business development and strategic partnerships. Timothy began his career at VIA in 1996, and has held a variety of senior executive positions and technical assistant to the president and chief executive officer of VIA, Wenchi Chen. With his passionate commitment to promoting innovation and entrepreneurship, Timothy holds board and advisory positions in startups and social enterprises operating in the technology, finance, entertainment, and lifestyle sectors, ranging from semiconductors, VR and AR, and Fintech to premium media content distribution and development, social media, and a leading winery in China. As well as being a hobbyist angel investor, Timothy is also involved in a number of faith-based initiatives focused on education and social development. Timothy earned his bachelor's degree in engineering from the University of California Berkeley. He is a Fellow of the fifth class of the China Fellowship Program and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
