Bio:
Ida Rademacher is a vice president at the Aspen Institute and co-executive director of the Aspen Financial Security Program - an internationally influential program dedicated to advancing policy and market solutions that simultaneously expand and connect financial inclusion and economic growth. A leading voice on household financial security and economic disparities, Ida is also known for building innovative teams, initiatives and events that fuel new insights and fresh thinking. Her efforts have supported the creation of several cutting-edge initiatives and events, including the Expanding Prosperity Impact Collaborative (EPIC), the Aspen Partnership for an Inclusive Economy, the Leadership Forum on Retirement Savings, the Global Inclusive Growth Summit and the Future of Wealth Initiative. She is the co-editor of the recently published book The Future of Building Wealth: Brief Essays on the Best Ideas to Build Wealth – for Everyone. In prior roles, Ida was the Chief Program Officer at the Corporation for Enterprise Development (now Prosperity Now) and a senior researcher at the Academy for Educational Development Center for Applied Behavioral and Evaluation Research. A resident of Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley and an avid equestrian, Ida is the first generation in her family to attend college. She pursued postgraduate studies in economic anthropology at the University of Melbourne, Australia; holds a Master of Public Policy degree from the University of Maryland; and a Bachelor degree in anthropology and economics from James Madison University.
