Title and Organization:
Sarah Hallberg is the medical director at Virta Health, an online specialty medical clinic that reverses type 2 diabetes safely and sustainably. She is also the medical director and founder of the Medically Supervised Weight Loss Program at Indiana University Health Arnett and an adjunct Professor of Clinical Medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine. Sarah is the Chair of the Scientific Advisory Council for The Nutrition Coalition, a nonprofit organization that aims to educate the public and policy makers about the need to strengthen national nutrition policy. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, American Board of Obesity Medicine, and The American Board of Clinical Lipidology; and is a Registered Exercise Physiologist by the American College of Sports Medicine. Sarah has a leadership role in the Midwest National Lipid Association and speaks often on the topic of diabetes management, including at TEDx Purdue in 2015. Sarah is a Fellow of the third class of the Health Innovators Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
