Bio:
Sidney Rex is CFO and Executive Vice President of W. B. Guimarin & Co., Inc., a 115 year old mechanical contracting firm, of which she and her brother are fourth-generation owners/operators. She is passionate about community investment to forge a better life for all citizens of South Carolina, serving organizations that promote the arts, environment, women’s rights, and economic opportunity. Sidney is currently a member of the Next 30, promoting the continued success of the Southern Environmental Law Center. She is also serving as Chairman of the Board of the Carolinas Associated General Contractors Foundation, which promotes workforce development and education in the Construction Trades. Sidney was an Echols Scholar at the University of Virginia where she earned a BA in Economics and earned an MBA with an International Business Concentration from the Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina. She is a Fellow of the 2019 Class of Liberty Fellowship and is a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
