Bio:
Jieho Lee is co-founder and advisor at Knighted, the nation’s largest Third-Party Proposition Player business and financial services company in the gaming industry. He led and scaled the company as CEO at Knighted California for 11 years, growing it to over 2,000 employees and achieving over $400M annual run rate and a 9x EBIT exit valuation. He set the company strategy and drove execution through an innovative services vision and authentic company culture – and engendered a new era of gaming that worked closely with local municipalities to ensure an eco-system of community engagement and giving back.
Lee’s innovative approach to business has its roots in the Arts and the creative realm, where he successfully launched his career creating content for global brands such as Ralph Lauren and Victoria’s Secret. Lee wrote and directed the first South Korean film to showcase in the competitive category at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival; and wrote and directed the feature film “The Air I Breathe” (starring Forest Whitaker, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Brendan Fraser). Lee also worked as a classical music recording and events producer with names such as Yo-Yo Ma, the late Isaac Stern, and Sarah Chang. He produced an award winning classical aria album, “Sumi Jo: Live at Carnegie Hall”, which received the South Korean Presidential Award for Cultural Excellence by President Kim Young-Sam.
Lee is known for his emotional intelligence and relationship-building skills, which enable him to excel in complex and dynamic industries. He developed and implemented a proprietary curriculum in managerial conflict training, and co-created a curriculum for Children in Harmony, a nonprofit promoting gender equity through emotional intelligence and music. Whether working through an aria with a world-class coloratura soprano, or navigating a highly regulated landscape with multiple constituencies, Lee’s love for people and his emotional acuity enables him to achieve incredible results.
Lee received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Wesleyan University, and an MBA from Harvard Business School, and is a member of YPO LA Gold and the YPO LA Asian Cross Chapter. Additionally he serves as an advisory member of Dignity Moves, a nonprofit focused on fast and affordable interim housing for the unhoused communities, and also sits on the board of Children in Harmony. Lee is a 2018 Henry Crown Fellow of the Aspen Institute and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
