Chen Yang is Chairperson of the Board of Popular Line Medical Group, a leading healthcare company in the global radiation therapy. The group includes R&D, manufacturing, training and operations of radiation technology globally. Chen’s experience in global capital markets, investments and trading has given her the capacity to lead the company in international merger and acquisition, investments and trading successfully.
In a separate capacity, Chen is co-founder and partner of Red Fields, a group that trades commodities and provides advisory to global clients with a focus on India and China markets. Its subsidiary Agile Global trades soft commodities, petro chemical and mining products. Red Fields advises clients and invests in healthcare, real estate, energy and other fields.
Previously, Chen was in Fixed Income at Citigroup and Bank of America, in Singapore, Hong Kong and United States, where she structured and sold securities for institutional clients.
Chen is an advocate for social impact. In 2017, Chen converted a 200-year old stone village at the foot of Taishan Mountain into an eco-tourism boutique hotel. Chen heads the Beijing office of India China Economic and Cultural Council, and is Co-President of Wellesley Club of Beijing. Chen received her MBA from INSEAD in France and Singapore, with a focus on finance and entrepreneurship. Chen received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Wellesley College in United States, majoring in International Relations and French. Chen is a Fellow of the Aspen China Fellowship Program.
