Originally from Ohio, Mike was recruited to work in the Automotive Strategy Division of Ford Motor Company following graduate school. After years living around the globe in this capacity, he wanted to return to the states and own his own business. Mike purchased a Ford Lincoln dealership in Florence South Carolina in 2008, followed by a Volkswagen dealership in Florence and a Chevrolet dealership in greater Hilton Head area. Mike has a long record of service on community boards of directors, including for Coastal Carolina Hospital, McLeod Health Foundation, South Carolina Automobile Dealers Association and Florence-Darlington Technical College Foundation. Mike has also served as a South Carolina State Constable for more than 8 years now and recently was commissioned as a Captain in the South Carolina Military Department’s Joint Services Department. Mike earned a B.S. in Accounting from Bowling Green State University and an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan. He is a Fellow of the 2019 Class of Liberty Fellowship and is a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
