From preschool teacher to the elected Republican Clerk of Court for Spartanburg County, Hope uses her position to help people advance in society and to strengthen community in her home town of Spartanburg. In addition to service on the boards of United Way of the Piedmont, Mary Black Foundation, and Spartanburg Village Network, she has also served on a statewide level, including as President of the South Carolina Clerk of Courts and Registers of Deeds Association, as the Crime Victims’ Ombudsman for South Carolina, as a member of the South Carolina Coalition for Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault, and as an appointee to the supreme court’s Clerk of Court and Register of Deeds Advisory. Hope holds a B.S. in Child Development from South Carolina State University. She is a Fellow of the 2019 Class of Liberty Fellowship and is a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
