Tony Clapsis is the founder and General Manager of the CVS Health Clinical Trial Services (CTS) business unit at CVS Health. The goal of CTS is to create a nationwide patient-centric platform for expanding access to research for diverse patient populations while delivering that research in the home, virtually, and in the community. Previously, he led the enterprise strategy and corporate development team. Prior to joining CVS Health, he served as VP and chief of staff to the chief executive officer of Caesars Entertainment. Tony spent 12 years in various health care roles across federal and state government, as well as at two investment banks. As a professional staff member of the Senate Finance Committee, Tony drafted key provisions of the Affordable Care Act and six other public laws, with a focus on insurance markets, provider payments, and delivery reforms. As an equity analyst at Lehman Brothers and Barclays Capital, Tony published over 500 research reports for health care product and services investors. He began his career as a legislative aide in the Massachusetts State Senate. Tony earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in history, graduating magna cum laude and phi beta kappa, from Boston University. Tony is a Fellow of the fourth class of the Health Innovators Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
