Bio:
Aaron T. Walker founded Camelback Ventures after successful careers as a teacher and an attorney. Inspired by the Camelback homes of New Orleans popularized by free blacks, our name grounds us in communities, motivates us to help entrepreneurs get over the hump, and reminds us that our ventures must "break the back" of the opportunity gap in one generation. Before starting Camelback Ventures, Mr. Walker founded a successful consulting practice and an education-focused expert firm. While at the NYC Fund for Public Schools, he helped raise $30 million for key initiatives, including the Young Men's Initiative, a project designed to improve the life outcomes for Black and Latino boys throughout the city. A graduate of the University of Virginia and The University of Pennsylvania Law School, Mr. Walker also has experience working in a large international law firm. He is a Fellow of the 22nd class of the Pahara - Aspen Education Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
