Bio:
Ebony Lee is an Entrepreneur in Residence at the Charter School Growth Fund where she leverages her experience in government and philanthropy to help portfolio members address challenges. She previously served as the U.S. Department of Education’s deputy chief of staff for policy. For nearly a decade, Ebony worked on charter school and teacher effectiveness policy as a senior program officer at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. She also served as chief of staff in the Department’s Office for Innovation and Improvement, and as an associate director in the Office of Intergovernmental and Public Liaison at the U.S. Department of Justice. Ebony is a native of Cleveland, Ohio, and studied public policy at Brown University. She is a Fellow of the 22nd class of the Pahara - Aspen Education Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
