Bio:
Nora Flood is the education lead for Wend Ventures, a social impact fund focusing on education, climate/sustainability, indigenous peoples and arts/creative culture. Before joining Wend, Nora spent more than eight years with the Colorado League of Charter Schools where she served as president for the last three and a half years of her tenure. Previously in her career, she was the director of Sonoma Charter School in northern California, served as head of school at Madison Country Day School, taught middle and high school special education in both traditional public schools and private schools, and taught internationally in Brazil and the Netherlands. Nora also co-founded a private, non-profit K-12 school in Minneapolis. Nora has a Masters of Science in education degree from the University of Wisconsin. She serves on several national and international boards and advisory boards, and sits on the executive committee and co-chairs the Policy Working Group of Grantmakers for Thriving Youth. She is a Fellow of the 23rd class of the Pahara - Aspen Education Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
